8.2 Vogue by AquaStyle Pools
This Vogue 8.2 pool in 'Quartz', featuring the Vantage self-cleaning system, was a project that required careful planning and execution due to the unique challenges of the site.
Access to the property was extremely restricted, requiring the pool to be craned into place. The operation involved precise maneuvering to swing the pool beneath a cantilevered living room, which was under construction at the time. The installation was staged so that the pool could be in position before the rest of the house was built, leaving it as a 'sleeper' pool for approximately six months.
During the construction period, a severe winter storm caused significant flooding at the adjacent property and, when the temporary sand bags gave way, flood waters swept through the construction site, dumping nearly one meter of rock and debris into the recently commissioned pool. A hydrovac truck was brought in to remove the material, and due to the solid construction of the pool we were relieved to discover it had sustained no damage. Once cleaned and rebalanced, the pool was restored to pristine condition.
The finished project demonstrates how technical challenges can be successfully managed with careful planning and durable materials. The Compass Vogue 8.2 not only meets the functional needs of the homeowners but also integrates seamlessly with the modern design of the property.
